ROTOR DYNAMICS LABORATORY
OPEN GRA POSITION
No current open positions for Fall 2008. One GRA position will be open for Fall 2009
for research in the area of dynamics of rotating machinery. The
individual needs a strong interest in Vibrations, Controls, Fluid
Mechanics and a desire and ability to do experimental work. The
position would be best suited for someone wishing to continue for a
PhD in the same area of research. This position will be funded by an
Industry Affiliates Group and will give the student exposure to the
major rotating machinery companies in the US. The position will be for
9 months with renewal pending adequate progress
toward the Affiliates goals. The stipend will be the standard Virginia
Tech ME Dept. package for GRA positions.
